Salvation Message

You have sinned against the Holy God. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). The holiness of God demands that you pay for it. “The soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4). You are therefore dead spiritually, although you are walking about in your physical body. This spiritual death, into which we are all born, will eventually lead to eternal death, which is spending eternity in the lake of fire.

God saw our condition and, in His mercy and love, intervened. This He did by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take away our sin and to die the death that held us in its grips. He became the “Lamb of God” that took away the sin of the world. He was born into our world to die. That was His primary mission. The Son of God had to put on the human form, in order to defeat the devil, the author of sin, death, and human suffering.

As Jesus hung on the tree of Calvary, His blood was shed. This blood was the only means by which our sins can be wiped away, never to be remembered by God. The blood of Jesus became the bridge between God and you. There was no other way. No man could do this, no prophet could shed His blood, because he is also a sinner. The only one qualified was the sinless Son of God. What great love God had for us! Now, what is your part in this plan?

The Four Basic Steps

First, you must repent of your sins; both small and great, for they are all grievous before God. The sin of lying, fornication, drugs, backbiting, incest, witchcraft consulting, disobedience to parents, evil thoughts, and robbery are only a few of the long list. You know your sins, and so does God.

Second, find a secret place where you can concentrate, and confess your sins to God. Tell Him you are sorry. Mean it.

Third, ask Him to forgive you and to cleanse you by the blood of Jesus, His Son. Believe that He has. Jesus will not turn you away on account of your sins. The blood of Jesus is enough to wipe away ALL sins, both great and small. It does not matter if you have killed people, or handed your soul over to the devil. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse you. Listen to the promise of God to all who dare to repent: “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow, though they be red like crimson they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

Fourth, ask Christ to some into your heart. He has promised it in His word, “Behold, I stand at he door, and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him,..” (Revelation. 3:20). Having made this statement, He will always honor any invitation. He is right by your side and He would want to come into your heart if only you would invite Him in. Do not postpone asking Jesus Christ to come into your heart. You do not know what will happen to you tomorrow. No one knows. This time is critical in your life.

Repeat this prayer and mean it

Dear God, I am sorry because I have sinned against you. I remember my sins of (name as many as you can remember). I ask that you please forgive me and cleanse me through the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for me on Calvary. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I confess that Jesus is Lord and I believe with my heart that God raised Him from the dead. Dear Jesus, thank you for coming to my heart and for being my Saviour and Lord in Jesus’ might name. Amen.

Jesus is faithful to His Word. He is not a man to tell lies. If you sincerely ask Him to come to your heart, He will. He is eager to give you a new life and new zest for life. You will experience a life that you never dreamed possible. Now, thank Him and share this new found joy with a friend.

Find a good Bible-preaching church. God will direct you to a good church if you ask Him. It is very important that you affiliate with other Christians. You should also read the Bible and pray daily.
